South East WWII RAF Squadrons await the take off of Spits and Hurricanes at Biggin Hill on the 'Hardest Day' of the Battle of Britain...

Aircraft arrival and taxi to static area during the morning

Fighters engine start at: 12.45
Three flights of eight fighters take off: 13.00

Hamlyn Flight - To patrol Dover
Grice Flight - To patrol Isle of Wight
Mortimer Flight - To patrol 11 Group stations

Battle of Britain flying display – aircraft to be confirmed

Fighters return: 13.45 to 14.00

Flightline walk opens 14.20
